31. PREFERRED NEW HOPE AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE/SPCA Approve an Agreement between Arizona Animal Welfare League/SPCA, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, and Maricopa County to allow Arizona Animal Welfare League/SPCA under the New Hope Program to rescue animals that have been deemed eligible for the New Hope program. Maricopa County will provide a rabies vaccination, dog license tag and new owner transfer fee within the first year of rescue for each dog three months of age or older at no cost to the Contractor. The cost for these services is forty-one dollars ($41) for each animal rescued. Animal Care and Control estimates 1,798 new hope rescues over the term of the agreement, for a total of $73,718. The term of this Agreement is from February 3, 2016 through June 30, 2018. (C-79-16-062-3-00)
