23. AGREEMENT WITH MIDWESTERN UNIVERSITY FOR THE VETERINARY MEDICINE PROGRAM Approve an Agreement between Midwestern University, a 501(C)3 Corporation and Maricopa County in which Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine, as part of their educational modules, will provide diagnostic and medical attention such as dental procedures, spay and neuter, and grooming on an as-needed basis to specifically selected animals from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC). Veterinary care will be done in accordance with veterinary standards of practice set by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Animals will receive disease evaluations and medical treatment not provided by MCACC. Term of the Agreement is from February 17, 2016 through June 30, 2017 with the opportunity to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon the written agreement of the parties.
