23. GRANT FUNDS FROM THE NINA MASON PULLIAM CHARITABLE TRUST FOR PUBLIC OWNED PETS SPAY AND NEUTER SURGERIES Approve and accept grant funds for Fiscal Year 2016 from Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust through the Arizona Humane Society and the Fix. Adopt. Save. Campaign in the amount of $84,000. These restricted funds are to be used for Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) for the purpose of providing a minimum of 1, 150 spay and neuter surgeries through the SNAP program. The grant allows 0% for indirect cost recovery. Maricopa County Animal Care & Control’s (MCACC) indirect rate for FY2016 is 11.1%. Unrecoverable indirect costs are estimated to be $9,324, which will be funded from the Animal Control License Shelter Fund (572) Operating (0000) budget. In approving the grant agreement, the Board recognizing the restrictions on funds and authorizes exceptions to Policies Nos. 1908 and 1609 as necessary to comply with grant restrictions. The grant period begins May 4, 2016 through February 15, 2017. Additionally, in accordance with A.R.S. §42-17106(B), authorize the following amendment to the FY2016 Animal Care and Control (790) Budget: a) Increase revenue and expenditure authority in the Animal Care and Control (790) Animal Care and Control Grant Fund (573) Non Recurring Non Project (0001) in the amount of $84,000. b) The increase in revenue and budget authority complies with A.R.S. §42-17106.
