30. AGREEMENT WITH MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR VETERINARY MEDICINE PROGRAM Approve an Agreement between Mesa Community College and Maricopa County in which Mesa Community College of Veterinary Medicine, as part of their educational modules, will provide diagnostic and medical attention such as dental procedures, spay and neuter, and grooming on an as-needed basis to specifically selected animals from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC). Veterinary care will be done in accordance with veterinary standards of practice set by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Animals will receive disease evaluations and medical treatment not provided by MCACC. Term of the Agreement is from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 with the opportunity to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon the written agreement of the parties. RESCIND AND APPROVE A NEW AGREEMENT WITH MARICOPA COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT ON BEHALF OF MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE Rescind the action taken by the Board on January 11, 2017, agenda item C-79-17-037-M-00 in which the Board approved an Agreement with Mesa Community College. Changes to the original agreement were communicated to the County after Board approval. Approve a new agreement with Maricopa County Community College District on behalf of Mesa Community College and Maricopa County through the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC), in which Mesa Community College of Veterinary Medicine, as part of their educational modules, will house select animals provided by MCACC prior to adoption for the purpose of providing medically necessary veterinary services such as dental procedures, spay and neuter, and grooming. Veterinary care will be done in accordance with veterinary standards of practice set by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Term of the Agreement is from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 with the opportunity to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon the written agreement of the parties.
