5. DONATION FROM TWO PUPS WELLNESS FUND THROUGH THE ARIZONA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION Accept the restricted monetary donation of $25,000 from Two Pups Wellness Fund through the Arizona Community Foundation for the purchase of antibiotics to treat shelter animals for Streptococcus Zooepidemicus Any remaining funds after treatment of the affected animals will be used for animals in need of medical care. Donation revenue funds are deposited into Fund 572 as they are received. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. This donation is being funded for the purpose of treating animals suffering from, or showing signs of, Streptococcus Zooepidemicus, a transmittable disease of the respiratory system, which can be fatal if left untreated, and which is currently affecting the East MCACC shelter location.
