19. DONATION FROM BEST FRIENDS ANIMAL SOCIETY Accept the restricted monetary donation of $6,000 from Best Friends Animal Society to be used for off-site boarding of shelter dogs during the Streptococcus Zooepidemicus outbreak. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. This donation is being funded for the payment of emergency off-site boarding for a number of shelter dogs located at the Animal Care & Control West location. As a result of the Streptococcus Zooepidemicus outbreak at the East location, no new animal intakes were permitted at that facility. As a result, a number of existing dogs located at the West shelter were boarded at the Canine Country Club in order to provide additional kennel space for increased animal intakes at the West location.
