19. DONATION FROM CATHY RINALDI FOR THE MARICOPA PET HELP PROGRAM Accept the restricted donation of $45,000 from Cathy Rinaldi to be used to fund the implementation and first year of the Maricopa Pet Help program, a "boots on the ground" community outreach program administered by Animal Care & Control. This program is designed to identify, educate, and assist those neighborhoods most in need of affordable pet services, including but not limited to, sterilization, vaccinations, and medical care, with the ultimate goal of decreasing pet homelessness and shelter overcrowding. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Cathy Rinaldi has pledged to fund an additional $45,000 for the first year of the Maricopa Pet Help program, for a total of $90,000. As additional funds are received, agenda items will be placed before the Board of Supervisors for approval. (C-79-19-089-D-00)
