16. DONATIONS FOR DECEMBER 2019 Accept the restricted monetary donations, as follows: 1. $620 from Two Pups Wellness Fund through the Arizona Community Foundation for the purchase of microchips used when stray animals are returned to their owners, providing an important piece of identification. 2. $887 from Donna Dudley to be used for the Petite Pet Project (P3), a volunteer run section of the West shelter that provides extra attention, training, and medical care to select small dogs that are struggling in the shelter environment. 3. $1,060 from the Community Canine Project, LLC for the purchase of microchips used when stray animals are returned to their owners, providing an important piece of identification. 4. $1,700 from The Petco Foundation for payment of cancer related medical expenses for shelter animals, recently adopted animals, and foster animals, which treatment cannot be provided at MCACC. 5. $10,000 from Animal Amigos of Maricopa County, through the Arizona Community Foundation, to be used in support of the Pet Help program, an MCACC “boots on the ground” community outreach program that assists low income neighborhoods with needed pet services. 6. $45,000 from Jason & Vickie Seabright to be used in support of the Pet Help program, in honor of their late mother, Cathy Rinaldi, the founding contributor of the Pet Help program. 7. $45,350 from the Bissell Pet Foundation in payment of the adoption fees of hundreds of cats and dogs during sponsored events in December 2019. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-79-20-072-D-00)
