14. EXCEPTION TO TECHNOLOGY FINANCE PROGRAM FOR PURCHASE OF LAW LIBRARY PERSONAL COMPUTER EQUIPMENT Approve an exception to the Technology Finance Program (TFP) to allow the Superior Court Law Library to purchase 94 personal computers (PC’s) and related equipment through a one-time expenditure from fund balance in the Law Library Fund (261). Total cost estimated not-to-exceed $82,000. In addition, pursuant to A.R.S. § 42-17106, transfer expenditure appropriation in the amount of $82,000 from Non-Departmental (470) Non-Departmental Grants Fund (249) Non-Recurring/Non-Project (0001) Potential Expenditures from Fund Balance line to Superior Court (800) Law Library Fund (261) Non-Recurring/Non-Project (0001). On March 18, 2009, the Board approved the purchase of the Superior Court Law Library integrated library Millennium database system. This system will provide electronic access to the records of holdings in the Law Library as well as access to online research databases. Purchase of the requested equipment will allow the Law Library database software to run more efficiently and effectively than with the current, outdated and slower PC’s. (C-80-10-016-2-00)
