Within the appropriated budget for Non Departmental, the amount to be transferred will be deducted from Potential Expenditures from Fund Balance. Approval of above action request will allow the Superior Court to contract with the NCSC to provide a Probate Study of the SCPC which will involve but not be limited to a site assessment, draft of an issues paper, conduct an analysis of individual case data and aggregate data, collect external data, research best practices, assess judicial staffing and produce a report that primarily addresses caseflow management and judicial oversight. Total amount not to exceed $97,600. In addition, approval of above action request will allow the Superior Court to purchase four (4) replacement computer laptops and contract with consultant programmers who will install specialized software. Total amount not to exceed $15,400. The need for equipment is due to current equipment failing preventing the SCPC Investigators from completing work thus not allowing the SCPC to consider petitions for guardianship.
