25. ADDITION OF PERMANENT VEHICLE TO THE FLEET Approve a permanent addition to the County fleet for one (1) vehicle to be purchased by the Equipment Services Department for use by the Superior Court Security for a cost estimated at $30,000. The request would be for one (1) new passenger sedan. Additional costs are operating costs which are estimated to be approximately $5,000 per fiscal year. Vehicle and operating costs will be absorbed in the Superior Court General Fund operating budget. This vehicle will be assigned to Superior Court Security (SCS). This vehicle will be utilized by SCS staff to travel and provide support to all Judicial Branch locations for the Superior Court, Adult and Juvenile Probation Departments and all Justice Courts locations. Support would include but not be limited to shift relief, training, delivery of security equipment, documents and other items, etc. as deemed necessary and appropriate. (C-80-15-007-2-00)
