26. APPOINTMENTS OF SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE PRO TEMPORE Approve the appointments of Mesa Municipal Court Judges Matias Tafoya, Michelle Lue Sang and Debbie Barone-Jay as well as Glendale City Court Judges Elizabeth Finn and John Burkholder as Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore, in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 12-141, for the period commencing January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2016. The purpose for this appointment is to implement a pilot program with Mesa Municipal and Glendale City Courts regarding Rule 11 proceedings. This serves the interest of judicial economy and promotes sound case flow management. These Municipal and City Court Judges would serve as Pro Tempore without any additional compensation from the Superior Court of Arizona. The appointment will be for the period commencing January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2016. (C-80-16-007-2-00)
