23. TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM SUPERIOR COURT LAW LIBRARY FUND TO SUPERIOR COURT BUILDING REPAIR FUND Authorize a transfer from the Law Library Fund (261) to the Superior Court Building Repair Fund (280) in the amount of $225,000. Per A.R.S. § 42-17106(B), approve the following budget adjustments: a) Approve an increase to the FY 2017 Superior Court (800) Law Library Fund (261) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) expenditure appropriation of $225,000. b) Approve an increase to the FY 2017 Superior Court (800) Building Repair Fund (280) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) revenue appropriation of $225,000. c) Approve offsetting revenue and expenditure adjustments in the Eliminations (980) Eliminations Fund (900) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) budget of ($225,000). d) Approve an increase to the FY 2017 Superior Court (800) Building Repair Fund (280) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) expenditure appropriation of $380,938 e) Approve a decrease to the FY 2017 Non Departmental (470) Non Departmental Grants Fund (249) Non Recurring Non Project (1001) Unassigned Contingency expenditure appropriation of ($380,938). These adjustments will fund additions, alterations and repairs to the various courthouse buildings in Maricopa County as approved by the Presiding Judge of Superior Court. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenue duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. A.R.S. § 12-305(C) allows the use of the Law Library fund balance in excess of $3,000 to be transferred to a building repair fund for additions, alternations and repairs to a courthouse with the approval of the Board of Supervisors and the concurrence of the Judge of the Superior Court. The $225,000 of funds transferred from the Law Library fund plus $3,302 of fund balance in the Superior Court (800) Building Repair Fund (280) will be used for the additional technology needed in the Law Library Resource Center presently under construction. In addition, the FY 2017 appropriation is being adjusted for the carryforward $152,636 which was unspent in FY 2016. (C-80-17-002-2-00)
