19. SUPERIOR COURT REQUEST FOR REVIEW OVER BASELINE The Superior Court is seeking an exception to the FY 2018 Budget Guidelines and Priorities instructions that would allow the Office of Management & Budget to review and study the following requests (by fund and budget amounts) over the FY 2017 baseline budget allocations for the FY 2018 budget appropriations, Fund 100 General Fund, $702,877 in operating funds; Fund 100 General Fund, $2,733,005 in non-recurring funds: The increasing complexity and sophistication of legal issues in the Court has demonstrated the need for three (3) staff attorney positions. These positions will support Judicial Officers in the Juvenile, Civil and Family Departments in their research and writing responsibilities. Additionally, two (2) Business Analysts positions are needed to document business processes and draft correspondence to facilitate iCISng development in the Juvenile Department, the largest and most complex area of the Judicial Branch. The requested funding for IT projects will allow the Judicial Branch to continue development of our case management system, finalize our disaster recovery plan at Scottsdale IO, complete electronic courtroom installs and remote interpreters systems in the Justice Courts, and upgrade our aging Jury Management system.
