This amendment is funded by a grant from US Department of Homeland Security, 2006-ST-091-000003-04. The purpose of this amendment is to provide funding for an additional year. This amendment is effective from May 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect. Indirect costs of $60,873 are fully recoverable at 17.3%, the FY09 Air Quality composite indirect rate. Maricopa County Air Quality is responsible for the daily collection of the ambient air quality samples for the BioWatch Program within Maricopa County. The DHS has dedicated a portion of its budget to be used for funding under the “Homeland Security BioWatch Program: Field Operations & Sample Collection Activities”. DHS has awarded funds to help establish and operate an air monitoring network designed to detect the release of biological agents. (C-85-06-025-3-03)
