MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH SYSCO CORPORATION FEDERAL DIESEL EMISSIONS REDUCTION ACT STATE CLEAN DIESEL GRANT PROGRAM Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Maricopa County Air Quality Department (MCAQD) and Sysco Corporation (SYSCO FOODSERVICES OF ARIZONA) for MCAQD to provide up to $262,500 in federal Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) sub-award funding to Sysco Corporation for the replacement of four diesel Class 8 short haulers. This Agreement will provide up to $262,500 in funds to support the State Clean Diesel Grant Program and benefit air quality by replacing one 1999, one 2000, three 2001, and five 2002 model year diesel Class 8 short haul combination trucks with 2020 new cleaner diesel technology trucks. Matching funds of 75% will be provided by Sysco Corporation. The program is consistent with Maricopa County Air Quality Department’s (MCAQD) mission “to provide clean air to Maricopa County residents and visitors so they can live, work, and play in a healthy environment.” (C-85-20-012-M-00)
