30. SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH SYSCO CORPORATION, FEDERAL DIESEL EMISSIONS REDUCTION ACT (DERA) STATE CLEAN DIESEL GRANT PROGRAM (Supervisorial District: 5) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute a subrecipient agreement between Maricopa County and Sysco Corporation to provide up to $390,403.20 in federal DERA sub-award funding to Sysco Corporation for the replacement of twelve Class 8 short combination delivery trucks. This agreement will provide up to $390,403.20 in funds to support the State Clean Diesel Grant Program and benefit air quality by replacing twelve Class 8 short combination delivery trucks with twelve 2026 ultra-low sulfur clean diesel Class 8 short combination delivery trucks. Matching funds of 76.4% will be provided by Sysco Corporation. This agreement shall become effective upon execution by all parties and will be valid until September 30, 2027. The program is consistent with Maricopa County Air Quality Department’s mission “to improve the air of Maricopa County so customers, residents, and visitors can live, work, and play in a healthy environment.” This project is based in District 5, Tolleson (611 S. 80th Ave) and the replacement trucks will operate throughout Maricopa County.
