31. ADOPT-A-STATION CERTIFICATE WITH VALLEY METRO RAIL INC Approve the Adopt-A-Station Certificate between Valley Metro Rail, Inc. (METRO) and Maricopa County through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) Tobacco Use Prevention Program for MCDPH’s sponsorship of METRO’s Adopt-A-Station Program aimed at encouraging partnerships to maintain the appearance of METRO light rail stations and exposing youth at metro light rail stations to tobacco prevention and education information. The Adopt-a-Station Certificate is effective upon execution by both parties and will remain in effect for a term of one year following full execution. MCDPH will pay METRO $100 for signage and placement at a given station and will supply all materials outside of those provided by METRO. Payment will come from a grant with the Arizona Department of Health Services (HG060018) and will not affect the county general fund. (C-86-10-111-3-00)
