61. APPLY AND ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS FROM ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR ALTERNATE CARE SYSTEMS WORKSHOP Apply and Accept grant funds from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS), Grant Agreement 777207-01, in the not-to-exceed amount of $45,000 for the purpose of funding the Alternate Care Systems (ACS) Workshop, which improves the National Priority of Strengthening the Medical Surge & Mass Prophylaxis Capabilities in Maricopa County. The grant term is October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. This grant deviates from County Policy A2505 Section D.1., as indirect costs are not fully recoverable. Therefore, the department is requesting retroactive approval to apply at this time. The Department of Public Health indirect rate for FY 2010 2011 is 17%. This grant does not allow reimbursement of indirect cost. Therefore, indirect cost estimated at $7,650 is not recoverable. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. Funds for this IGA are provided by a grant from AZDOHS and do not affect the County’s general fund. (C-86-11-022-G-00)
