67. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN MARICOPA COUNTY AND ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE CORRECTIONS Approve Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) and Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) to provide youth on parole and in detention and their parents with health education and skills building to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases as well as referrals to social and health services that will help reduce recidivism in the correctional system. This MOU is effective from date of last signature and shall terminate June 30, 2014, unless otherwise terminated as provided herein. ADJC will provide the physical classroom space to hold the evidence-based program for youth participants. ADJC will identify staff members to be trained in the curriculum; identify youth participants for the program; provide MCDPH with contact information of the parents/care givers of the youth participants; and provide staff assistance.
