64. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AWARD WITH INSTITUTE OF FOOD TECHNOLOGIST, U. S. FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION FOR EPIDEMIOLOGY PROGRAM Approve and accept Request for Proposal Award, Food-Related Emergency Exercise Bundle (FREE-B) between Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH), Office of Epidemiology to provide funding for a tabletop execise using the Stealthy Situation scenario in Phoenix, AZ. The award amount is up to $4,000. The budget period extends to February 28, 2014. The reimbursement to MCDPH will be by the submission of receipts to IFT. This award deviates from County policy A2505 and does not allow for full indirect cost reimbursement. MCDPH’s indirect rate for FY 2013-14 is 15%. The full indirect costs are estimated at $600, of which is not recoverable. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This Amendment does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. (C-86-14-056-3-00)
