48. IGA WITH THE STATE OF ARIZONA FOR WALK N ROLLERS PROGRAM Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) (JPA 14-0004844-I) between the State of Arizona by and through its Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) for the Walk N Rollers Program. The budget for this agreement is in the not-to-exceed amount of $124,191. This Agreement shall become effective upon a fully executed agreement and shall remain in effect for 36 months from the date of execution. The Department of Public Health’s Office of Community Empowerment is implementing a Walk N Rollers Program for K-8 graders in order to increase the number of students walking and biking safely to school. This agreement includes match fund at 5.7% of $124,191 totaling $7,507 from general fund (100) which does not include any federal funding source. The Department of Public Health’s indirect rate for FY15 is 14.8%. The grant allows for full indirect; therefore indirect costs are estimated at $16,011 and are fully recoverable. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This Amendment does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. Funding for this Agreement is provided by a Grant from ADOT and will not affect the County’s general fund. (C-86-15-068-3-00)
