59. AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH EMPOWERMENT TREATMENT & COUNSELING CENTER FOR WELLNESS, LLC FOR CLINICAL NUTRITION TRAINING Approve the Affiliation Agreement with Empowerment Treatment & Counseling Center for Wellness, LLC to provide clinical nutrition training experience for graduate students in the dietetic internship. The agreement is non-financial, and the term is to be from May 1, 2015 through June 30, 2019. As a part of its established accredited dietetic internship program, the Department of Public Health seeks to provide its dietetic interns with a broad and diverse practicum experience. This agreement with Empowerment Treatment & Counseling Center for Wellness, LLC would allow dietetic interns to receive approved practicum experience in clinical nutrition. Supervised by Empowerment registered dietitians at Empowerment facilities, interns would continue to be responsible to Public Health. This agreement is non-financial, and does not affect the County general fund. (C-86-16-022-3-00)
