65. FEE FUND BUDGET APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT FOR OFFICE OF EPIDEMIOLOGY HEALTH ASSESSMENT Approve a one-time expenditure of $62,047.00 from fund balance in the Department of Public Health Fee Fund (265). In addition, per A.R.S. §42-17106(B), reduce the FY 2016 expenditure appropriation in the Non-Departmental (470) Non-Departmental Grants Fund (249) Non-Recurring (0001). Potential Expenditures from Fund Balance line by $62,047.00 and increase the FY 2016 expenditure appropriation in the Department of Public Health (860) Office of Epidemiology Fee Fund (265) Non-Recurring/Non-Project (0001) by $62,047.00. Approval of this action will support the Office of Epidemiology’s Community Health Assessment program by allowing the hiring of a County Contract position for the period of 12/1/15 through 7/31/17. This appropriation will provide the funding for 12/1/15 to 6/30/2016. The Department of Public Health’s FY2015-16 indirect rate from fees is 13.5%; therefore $7,380 is allowable and fully recoverable. The Office of Epidemiology (EPI) would like to request a one-time use of fee fund balance moneys to create a contract position for a management analyst. The new position will assist in getting our own community health assessment and our various partners’ assessments coordinated into a single assessment report. The individual will also assist with coordinating meetings, recruiting additional stakeholders/community partners, and collection of data from other entities. This position will help with our hospital contracted partners for their IRS required community health assessments and will assist MCDPH on the countywide community health assessment as mandated by A.R.S §36-186 Article 7, paragraph (a) and (e). Detailed cost list below: Salary $37,442.00 Benefits $17,225.00 Indirect Costs $ 7,380, 00 Total: $62,047.00 Continuation of this position will be requested in the FY 2017 budget. (C-86-16-042-M-00)
