35. ADDITION OF VEHICLE TO FLEET Approve the permanent addition of one vehicle to Maricopa County Department of Public Health fleet, a 2016 Chevrolet Impala, estimated at $27,000.00 (including taxes and extended warranty). The vehicle will be used by the Office of Vital Registraton (OVR) for official business activities. Funding for the vehicle is Department of Public Health (860), Public Health Fee Fund (265). As a result of the Office of Vital Registration’s increased demand and activity amongst all five of its locations, the OVR is requesting to add one vehicle to its fleet at this time. The program currently has a fleet consisting of four vehicles which has proved insufficient to sustain its field program that supports hundreds of funeral establishments, licensed healthcare facilities and educational institution’s training and compliance needs within the County. The Public Satellite Regional Supervisor and Public Satellite Lead alone utilize two of the four vehicles daily to support our three public satellite offices in order to meet the Office’s mandated functions and provide excellent service. Therefore, the remaining two vehicles are not sufficient to sustain our field program that supports our partners and stakeholders throughout the community. Finally, the OVR is respectfully requesting the ability to add a vehicle to the County’s fleet. (C-86-16-092-V-00)
