55. GRANT WITH THE PEW CHARITABLE TRUSTS FOR HEALTH IMPACT ASSESSMENT Approve a Health Impact Project Grant (00029371) between The PEW Charitable Trusts (PEW) and Maricopa County through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH), Office of Public Health Policy to provide funding for SHUR Health Impact Assessment (HIA) to evaluate the process and impact of a HIA that studied the shared-use of school properties and to disseminate the findings. This grant provides funding in the amount of $40,751.00 for the budget period January 21, 2016 through June 30, 2016. This grant deviates from County Policy A2505 and does not allow for full indirect cost reimbursement, but a maximum of 10% salaries and employee related expenses indirect cost reimbursement. Salaries and employee related expenses are estimated to be $19,174.00. The Department of Public Health’s indirect rate for FY2014-2015 is 15.8%. Total indirect expenses based on full award are estimated to be $5,560.00 of which $1,917.00 is recoverable and $3,643.00 is not recoverable. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This Agreement does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. Funding for this Agreement will be provided by The Pew Charitable Trusts and will not affect the County’s general fund budget. (C-86-16-098-3-00)
