33. AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING CONSULTING SERVICES Approve amendment 2 to contract ADHS17-154596, High Risk Perinatal Program (HRPP) Community Health Nursing (CHN) Consultant Services, between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Maricopa County, by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH). The amendment extends the contract through November 30, 2021, the final year of the 5 year term. The HRPP CHN Consultation Services RFP award is reoccurring and has been awarded to the Department since 2016. This grant does not require an in-kind match, indirect cost is fully recoverable and ongoing cash contributions are not required. The grant award is not a mandated function but provides a benefit to the citizens by providing guidance, education, and standardization to NICP Community Nursing Contractors in the implementation of community nursing services for the critically ill/premature newborns enrolled in the NICP program. The award is competitive. There are no costs that will need to be absorbed by the department’s operating budget. Indirect cost calculations are not applicable to this action as it extends the contract date only. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This Amendment does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The overall grant budget will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate this grant through a future reconciliation. Funding for this grant will be provided by ADHS and will not affect the County’s general fund. (C-86-17-029-3-06)
