44. CONTRACT WITH SCOTTSDALE HEALTHCARE HOSPITALS DBA HONORHEALTH FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT REPORT Approve a Contract for Services between Scottsdale Healthcare Hospitals, dba HonorHealth, and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) for participating in the Community Health Needs Assessment(s) (CHNA). HonorHealth shall pay the County for the services described a sum not to exceed $10,000 per hospital, per year, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $180,000 ($60,000 annually) over the 3-year term. a. $10,000 each for HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center, HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center, HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center, HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center. b. $5,000 each for HonorHealth Greenbaum Surgical Specialty Hospital and HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital based on the number of beds in each facility not exceeding 75. The term of this Contract is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020. The Department of Public Health’s FY2016-17 indirect rate for fee fund is 12%, indirect costs are estimated at $19,287 and are fully recoverable. Previously, the Department of Public Health would (at no charge) provide hospitals and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) with extensive data requests and reports to support CHNA requirements. As requests for data became more extensive, PH was unable to meet the demand while also meeting other Department obligations. (C-86-17-064-3-00)

RESCIND ACTION ON CONTRACT WITH SCOTTSDALE HEALTHCARE HOSPITALS, DBA HONORHEALTH, FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT REPORT Rescind action taken by the Board of Supervisors on April 26, 2017, for a Contract (C-86-17-064-3-00) between Scottsdale Healthcare Hospitals, dba HonorHealth (HH) and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH), Office of Epidemiology (OE) for Community Health Needs Assessment(s) (CHNA) services. HH shall pay the County for CHNA services. The rescind is due to HH deciding not to use the Disease Control team this year for the CHNA service. No documents were signed by either parties.
