IGA WITH CREIGHTON SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SHARED USE OF DISTRICT ASSETS DURING NON-SCHOOL HOURS Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Creighton School District and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH). The purpose of this IGA is to provide funding to schools to develop shared use of school district assets. Shared use, sometimes called joint use or community use, occurs when an entity agrees to open their doors for use by the neighborhood. While many equate shared use with playgrounds, shared use can also include the creative reuse of vacant land, athletic fields, classrooms, and many other underutilized facilities. The County agrees to provide funding from its IGA Healthy People, Healthy Communities Grant (532 8672 TUPV 1001 TOBPREV FY17) for the Program, and the School District agrees to distribute funds to the participating schools and to provide reports on school progress toward Program goals. Funding is in the not-to-exceed amount of $20,000.00 for the budget period beginning May 11 through June 22, 2018. (C-86-18-068-3-00)
