55. NOTICE OF AWARD FOR ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE FOR RESILIENCE FELLOWSHIP Approve the Notice of Award of grant funds from Arizona State University (ASU), Knowledge Exchange for Resilience, in the not-to-exceed amount of $30,000. Funding is to support a cohort Resilience Fellow, under the Community fellowship of ASU in order to identify and address challenges for building Community resilience. The project and budget period for this award is January 1, 2020 through July 31, 2022. This is a new fellowship grant and its reoccurrence is not known. It was a competitive grant opportunity and there is no cash or in-kind match required. Should the grant cease, on-going contributions will not be required. This is not a mandated service but provides a benefit to our citizens by continuing work to foster knowledge-based community resilience within Maricopa County. This Grant deviates from County Policy A2505 and does not allow for any indirect cost reimbursement. MCDPH indirect rate for FY22 is 17.97%. The full indirect costs are estimated at $5,391 none of which is recoverable. Program costs not covered by the grant will be subsidized by the MCDPH indirect cost pool. Departmental indirect rates are re-established at the beginning of each fiscal year and the future indirect rates will be collected at the corresponding rates. In accordance with A.R.S. 42-17106(B), approve the following amendments to the FY 2022 budget: Increase the revenue and expenditure authorities for Public Health (D860) Public Health Grants Fund (532) Operating (OPER) budget by $30,000. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This Amendment does not alter the budget constraining expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42‐17105. Funding for this Agreement is provided by a Grant from ADHS and will not affect the County’s general fund. (C-86-20-031-G-01)
