52. GRANT AWARD FROM ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES FOR ‘NEMOURS BETTER TOGETHER TRAINING’ Approve a fixed price retro-active Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) from Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) for the Nemours program for the purpose of positively impacting nutrition, physical activity ad health disparities. The program targets specific populations, including early care and education (ECE) populations. The award is in the not-to-exceed amount of $59,708 for the 28-month term beginning March 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022. Should ADHS fund this IGA beyond the current Project Period, it is written with a term end date of February 28, 2025. Summary per IGA Price Sheet: Year 1: March 1, 2020 thru June 30, 2020 5,600.00 Year 2: July 1, 2020 thru June 30, 2021 27,054.00 Anticipated for Year 3: July 1, 2021 thru June 30, 2022 27,054.00 59,708.00 Total This was a non-competitive award with no cash or in-kind match required. It is uncertain whether the award will continue beyond the initial term. The funds do not address a mandated service but provide a benefit to our citizens by delivering Empower PLUS+2.0 training and technical assistance to meet health-related best practices to providers in child nutrition, breastfeeding, physical activity, and other topics. Should the grant cease, on-going contributions will not be required. The grant allows for the full indirect rate of 18.8%. Indirect cost is estimated to be $9449.00 all of which is recoverable. All program costs are allocated to the grant so there should not be additional burden on the department’s operating budget. (C-86-21-033-X-00)
