44. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH MADISON ELEMENTARTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL COORDINATOR STIPEND Approve an amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Madison Elementary School District and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) to provide continued funding to the School Wellness Coordinator to implement the local wellness policy at Madison School District. Additional funding is in the amount of $3000.00 for the budget period beginning September 1, 2021 and ending June 15, 2022. In addition, the IGA is amended to reflect changes as described in the amendment 1. The IGA project is funded with AZ Health Zone SNAP-Ed dollars through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA, ADES, ADHS and Local Implementing Agencies work to implement policy, systems, and environmental change strategies, and shift the dialogue around nutrition and physical activity through marketing approaches, all with complementary educational outreach. The AZ Health Zone is a community health engagement program that supports and builds collaborative partnerships aimed to improve public health through increased access to physical activity opportunities, healthy food and education.
