51. CONTRACT WITH COMPASS GROUP USA, INC DBA FOODWORKS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CATERING SERVICES FOR PEOPLE AFFECTED BY COVID Approve a Public Health Contract #PH RFP 220179, between Maricopa County (County), a political subdivision of the State of Arizona, through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) and Compass Group USA, Inc DBA FoodWorks (“Contractor”) for services to provide a comprehensive, high-quality catering service program and deliver to the designated location located in Tempe, AZ. This contract is being entered into pursuant to MC1-329 of Maricopa County Procurement Code. The term of the contract is three (3) years, beginning on February 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024. The cost of the services are on a per meal basis (Breakfast - $9.00 per person; Lunch - $10.00 per person; Dinner - $11.00 per person) and it is estimated that MCDPH will spend approximately $1.4 million over the term of the contract. The County may, at its option and with the agreement of the Contractor, renew the term of this Contract for additional terms up to a maximum of two (2) additional years, (or at the County’s sole discretion, extend the contract on a month-to-month basis for a maximum of six (6) months after expiration). This contract will be funded by the ARPA Grant Fund (296), COVID-19 related fund. Should the funding source cease and alternate funding not be available, Section 4.0 of the Contract, Availability of Funds, will apply allowing for a change or termination of the contract.
