50. RAPID COVID-19 AT HOME/OVER THE COUNTER (OCT) TEST KITS Pursuant to MC1-329 of the Maricopa County Procurement Code, authorize the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to execute one or more Contracts to be developed under #PH RFP 220206, Rapid COVID-19 At Home/Over the Counter (OTC) Test Kits. This solicitation is being done with the aim to purchase an initial shipment of 100,000 individually packaged Rapid COVID-19 At Home/Over the Counter Test Kits to be received as soon as possible as well as create a list of acceptable Contractors in which to request additional orders from over the course of the contract. After the initial order the County will seek quotes from all contractors on the contract for subsequent orders. It is anticipated that multiple contracts will be awarded and all Respondents receiving a contract shall be determined qualified to provide materials by the Public Health Department’s Evaluation Committee. The resulting contracts shall be for an initial term of twelve (12) months, beginning February 9, 2022 through February 8, 2023, with an option to renew one-year terms up to a maximum of four (4) additional years (or at the County’s sole discretion, extend the contract on a month-to-month bases for a maximum of six (6) months after expiration) based on available funding and successful Contractor performance. This agreement will be funded by the ELC2 Grant. The total initial estimated amount to be spent is $1,000,000. Should the funding source cease and alternate funding not be available, Section 4.0 of the Contract, Availability of Funds, will apply allowing for a change or termination of the contract.
