63. PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH HEALTH CURRENT FOR THE HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE Approve the Participation Agreement with Health Current and its affiliate, Contexture, to allow Maricopa County Department of Public Health to participate in the statewide health information exchange (HIE) in accordance with public health authority and applicable statute. The agreement is non-financial, and the term will begin on the effective date and continue until terminated. The agreement would allow Maricopa County Department of Public Health to continue to participate in the health information exchange (HIE), an electronic system for exchanging health information among HIE Participants. Health Connect’s mission is to support the appropriate and secure exchange of electronic health information enabling Arizona’s health care communities to improve health care coordination, quality and safety, and to reduce costs.
