73. PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA FAITH NETWORK Approve a non-monetary Partnership Agreement (PA) between Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH) and Arizona Faith Network (AFN) establishing a collaborative partnership to address environmental Issues. The collaboration, as part of the EPA’s Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grants Program, focuses on building community resilience to extreme heat and poor air quality, while enhancing local capacity to mitigate environmental challenges. MCDPH, serving as the Lead Applicant, will manage and oversee the project, including the disbursement of federal funds, compliance with legal requirements, and decision-making in partnership with AFN. AFN, as the Statutory Partner, will participate in shared decision-making and support project-specific activities related to community resilience and pollution reduction strategies. AFN will also facilitate public engagement, provide technical expertise, and monitor project outcomes. Both parties will ensure compliance with data sharing, employment verification, and legal obligations, while maintaining flexibility to collaborate with other entities. Dispute resolution mechanisms, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, are established, and the agreement will remain in effect from the date of final signature, until November 20, 2027, with options for early termination.
