89. IGA WITH ALHAMBRA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT Approve a non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Alhambra Elementary School District (AESD) and Maricopa County by and through its Department of Public Health (MCDPH), Community Wellness & Health Promotion, to provide immunization services to eligible students and adults. The IGA is effective August 1, 2026, through May 31, 2031, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the Agreement. This IGA establishes a partnership between MCDPH and AESD to improve access to childhood vaccines for insured and uninsured students and vaccines for insured and uninsured adults to reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable illness during periods of increased disease activity, local transmission, outbreaks, or pandemic conditions. MCDPH will provide vaccines, supplies, clinical services, required documentation, and immunization reporting. AESD will provide appropriate space and logistical support for immunization events and conduct outreach within the school community. Vaccination programs are entirely voluntary. Receiving vaccines is a personal choice, and individuals should make decisions that are best for their health and circumstances. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is included to establish requirements for the use, disclosure, safeguarding, and handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other applicable requirements.
