66. ASSIGNMENT OF STATE LAND RIGHT OF WAY TO CITY OF SURPRISE Approve an application to assign Maricopa County ’s interest in a right of way granted by the Arizona State Land Department on January 15, 1999. Our interest in the right of way will be assigned to the City of Surprise , a municipal corporation. The right of way, known as Arizona State Land Department R/W No. 16-104394, is for the South eighty (80) feet of the Southeast quarter of Section 36, T5N, R2W, G&SRB&M, Maricopa County , Arizona on the Jomax Road alignment between 167th Avenue and 163rd Avenue . The area has been annexed by the City of Surprise and is now under the city’s jurisdiction. The Arizona State Land Department requires that we follow their administrative rules and regulations in the transfer of state trust property rights, by having both the County (Assignor) and the City (Assignee) sign the application for the assignment and assumption of interest.
