51. IGA WITH SURPRISE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (ITS) FOR BELL ROAD FROM LOOP 303 TO GRAND AVENUE Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County (County), through the Maricopa Department of Transportation, (MCDOT) and the City of Surprise (Surprise) for the construction of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) for Bell Road from Loop 303 to Grand Avenue (Project). The estimated total cost of this Project is $918,900 with federal funds of $866,523 (94.3%) and a local match of $52,377 (5.7%). Funds are available in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Fund (234) Traffic Improvement Project (TIMP), Job No. T154. This IGA addresses the construction of ITS improvements only and shall become effective as of the date it is approved by the Board of Supervisors and shall be filed with the Maricopa County Recorder.
