127. JOB ORDER CONTRACT WITH SOUTHWEST SLURRY SEAL, INC. FOR MICROSURFACING SERVICES Approve the award of Job Order Contract (JOC), Contract No. 2009-011 with Southwest Slurry Seal, Inc., for a not-to-exceed amount of $6,000,000 for Microsurfacing Services performed when requested by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation through a specific Work Assignment. This JOC shall be effective for a period of one year from the Board award date and may be renewed, if mutually agreed to by both the Contractor and the County, for an additional one year period. The Contractor shall be paid a total fee not-to-exceed $6,000,000 over two years. The annual contract amount not-to-exceed $3,000,000. Job Order Contracting is authorized by Article 5 of the Procurement Code to enable the County to expediently complete smaller construction projects using pre-qualified contractors with structured pricing basis. The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) develops the scope of work and approves the contractor’s cost proposal prior to the contractor starting work on a specific job order project.
