130. BID AND AWARD FOR PROJECT PAVEMENT PRESERVATION (PAVE) Approve the solicitation of bids for Gilbert Road – Low Flow Crossing at Salt River, Project Pavement Preservation (PAVE), Job No. T285; and approve the award to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest responsive bid does not exceed the engineer’s estimate by ten (10) percent. The construction consists of improvements to existing northbound Gilbert Road just north of Thomas Road. The detail scope description includes installation of new pavement, construction of pipes, installation of inlet and outlet headwalls, construction of gabion baskets and other drainage improvements. This project was included in the FY 2009-10 budget and additional funding is available in the project bin reserve. This addition results in a net impact of zero and do not change the duly adopted budget as approved by the Board of Supervisors. This project will be procured in accordance with the mandate set forth in the Maricopa County Procurement Code, Article 5, and Section 504. This project is located in Supervisor District 2.
