69. IGA WITH THE CITY OF SURPRISE FOR BROADSTONE RANCH INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County and the City of Surprise to allow the Developers of Broadstone Ranch to design roadways and infrastructure in accordance with the City’s design standards. Broadstone Ranch is a residential development generally located southwest of Grand Ave, North of Dove Valley Road and South of Black Mountain Road between 251st Ave. and 227th Ave. There is a Pre-Annexation, Development Agreement between the City and the developer of Broadstone Ranch, adopted by City Council Resolution 07-222 on November 29, 2007. The Pre-Annexation Agreement between the City and the Developer, states that all improvements to the development are to be made according to the City’s design standards. This Agreement is required in order to give the City the authority to carry out the terms of the City’s Pre-Annexation agreement (with regard to infrastructure and right of way design) until such time that the intended annexation occurs. It is recommended that the County participate in this agreement because the property is currently located within the County’s jurisdiction. Supervisory District No. 4 (C-91-10-118-M-00)
