10. SOLAR RENEWABLE ENERGY CREDIT PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY FOR THE JACKSON STREET GARAGE ( # 3315) Approve a Solar Renewable Energy Credit Purchase Agreement (CPA) between Maricopa County and Arizona Public Service Company for the Jefferson Street Garage / FMD Building (#3311). Under the terms of this agreement, APS commits to purchasing certificates representing the Environmental Attributes associated with the energy produced by the rooftop solar photovoltaic system to be installed on the building. In turn, Maricopa County commits to producing a specified amount of solar energy on an annual basis for 20 years. In the event that the County does not produce the specified amount of energy, the County has the obligation under the CPA to pay APS for the deficiency. The actual cost of such deficiency would be the difference between the contract price and the price for APS to purchase credits elsewhere. Maricopa County will be responsible for the minimal cost of less than $500 (est.) to provide a dedicated phone line. (C-91-10-158-3-00)
