55. TRADE-IN OF TWO STREET SWEEPERS Approve the trade-in of two Freightliner street sweepers, County Asset Numbers M0800632 and M0800633. These two street sweepers could not be repaired. Norwood Equipment Inc. and Elgin Sweeper Co. agreed to exchange these two units for two new 2010 models with the International chassis at no cost to Maricopa County. In addition, approve a capital freeze exception so that Equipment Services could release the sweepers to MCDOT and the sweepers could be put into service, and direct Equipment Services to add the sweepers. This action has zero impact to the budget. On January 6, 2010, Norwood Equipment Inc. notified Materials Management that both Norwood Equipment Inc. and Elgin Sweeper Co. have agreed to replace the two Freightliner street sweepers that MCDOT uses for roadway maintenance with brand new 2010 models. The equipment issues that MCDOT reported are beyond repair. Equipment Services has confirmed that the two new sweepers were delivered and received. Supervisory District No(s). All (C-91-10-192-M-00)
