63. JOB ORDER CONTRACTS Approve six FY 2010-11 Contracts for the purpose of providing as-needed Job Order Contracting construction services for Major Maintenance, Capital Improvement Program, and Department funded projects. BRYCON Construction (C-91-10-209-5-00) Caliente Construction, Inc. (C-91-10-210-5-00) ForeSite Design & Construction, Inc. (C-91-10-211-5-00) Holder Construction Company (C-91-10-212-5-00) SD Crane Builders, Inc. (C-91-10-213-5-00) BWC Enterprises Inc. dba Woodruff Construction, Arizona (C-91-10-214-5-00) Job Order Contracting is authorized by Article 5 of the Procurement Code to enable the County to expediently complete smaller construction projects using pre-qualified contractors with a structured pricing basis. The Facilities Management Department will develop the scope of work and approve the contractor's cost proposal based on pre-determined contract terms, prior to the contractor starting work on a specific job order task. The costs will be paid by budgeted funds from Major Maintenance, Capital Improvement Program, and Department budgets. The firms were selected through a qualifications-based selection process which also included a Technical Proposal conducted in accordance with the Maricopa County Procurement Code and Article 5 Procurement Procedures. The initial contract will be for a period of three years with two one-year options to extend the length of the contract with a maximum per year of $3,000,000. The purpose of this Contract is to provide as-needed Job Order Contracting services for Major Maintenance, Capital Improvement Program, and Department funded projects. This Contract is effective from July 1, 2010 until June 30, 2015, if the two options to extend are exercised. (C-91-10-215-5-ZZ)
