57. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF GILBERT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO WILLIAMS FIELD ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the Town of Gilbert (Gilbert) for Improvements to Williams Field Road from Gilbert Road to the Eastern Canal. The total estimated cost of the Project is $4.5 Million. Maricopa County’s cost share responsibility is 50% of the total Project cost, currently estimated at $2.25 Million. The Town of Gilbert’s cost share responsibility is also 50% of the total Project cost, currently estimated at $2.25 Million. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) County Arterials (ARTS) Project, Sub-Project T098, Williams Field Road: Gilbert Road – Eastern Canal. The purpose of the Project is to construct and widen Williams Field Road from Gilbert Road to the Eastern Canal (Project). Improvements will include a new six lane Urban Principal Arterial, consisting of three through lanes and one bike lane in each direction, with a raised median. The Project will also include a widened bridge over the Eastern Canal. Additional improvements will include curb and gutter, sidewalk, landscaping, street lighting, and a storm drainage system.
