89. IGA WITH THE CITY OF EL MIRAGE FOR INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT EL MIRAGE ROAD AND SANTE FE LANE (SMALL CITIES TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM) Approve the intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County and the City of El Mirage for intersection improvements at El Mirage Road and Santa Fe Lane (Small Cities Transportation Assistance Program) for FY 2011. The City of El Mirage has been selected to receive $70,000 for the intersection improvements at El Mirage Road and Santa Fe Lane. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project. Sub-Project T009, Small Cities Transportation Assistance Program, will be used to account for the expenditures on this project. Upon the City’s awarding of the bid for the project and written request from the City, the County will advance the City $70,000. The City will provide a final accounting with supporting documentation of all funds at the completion of the project. The City will refund any unexpended monies at the end of the project. The City will notify the County if this project is cancelled and has acknowledged that the monies cannot be used for any other City project. The County and the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) have reviewed the transportation projects recommended by the Community Development Advisory Board using the policies and procedures adopted by the Small Cities Transportation Assistance Program. The TAB recommends that the Board of Supervisors select the City of El Mirage intersection improvements project for funding. Supervisory District No. 4 (C-91-11-067-M-00)
