41. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF GILBERT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO WILLIAMS FIELD ROAD FROM 1950 FEET WEST OF POWER TO POWER ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the Town of Gilbert (Gilbert) for the improvements to Williams Field Road from 1950 feet west of Power Road to Power Road. The County’s cost share responsibility is $250,000. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project, Sub-Project T003, Special Projects. This item was recommended by the Maricopa County Transportation Advisory Board on September 21, 2010 for inclusion in the FY2011 Transportation Advisory Board Special Project Fund (TAB-SPF). As part of a larger roadway improvement project in Gilbert, improvements will extend to approximately one-third of a mile on Williams Field Road from 1950 feet west of Power Road to Power Road, which is under the jurisdiction of the County. The purpose is to provide additional travel lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks, streetlights and pedestrian lighting. The total estimated cost of the project is $2.45 million. The County’s cost share responsibility is $250,000. Gilbert is the lead agency and is responsible for all remaining costs of the project. Supervisory District No. 2 (C-91-11-130-M-00)
