47. IGA WITH THE CITY OF CHANDLER FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO MCQUEEN ROAD FROM RIGGS ROAD TO OCOTILLO ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the City of Chandler (Chandler) for the improvements to McQueen Road from Riggs Road to Ocotillo Road. The County’s cost share responsibility is $275,000. Funds are budgeted in the Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Partnership Support (PSUP) Project, Sub-Project T003, Special Projects. This item was recommended by the Maricopa County Transportation Advisory Board on September 21, 2010 for inclusion in the FY2011 Transportation Advisory Board Special Project Fund (TAB-SPF). Chandler is the lead agency of this project. Improvements include adding additional through lanes, turn lanes and bike lanes, storm drain system, traffic signals, streetlights, and raised landscape median. Approximately 16% of this Project lies within County jurisdiction. The total estimated cost of the project is $10.9 million. The County’s cost share responsibility is $275,000.
