The County’s cost share responsibility is up to $2,000,000 of the total Project cost. Funds will be programmed in the FY 2012 Public Works (910) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) County Arterials (ARTS) project, subproject T251, for the investigation. The County will contribute the necessary amount of local funding, currently estimated as $120,895 or 5.7 percent, to provide the local match for the federal award received by Queen Creek for the archaeological investigation. The County will also contribute up to an additional $1,879,105 to any added costs associated with the archaeological investigation and the costs of elements of the design modifications and future construction of the interim phase of Riggs Road from Meridian Road to Ellsworth Road. The total cost for the archaeological investigation and design modification is estimated at $4 million. The $2 million federal award is a reimbursable amount to be received upon completion of the work. Ultimately, the maximum cumulative County cost share responsibility is $2 million.
